     Gargari Gutity is a coffee produced by smallholders on family farms in Gargari village, Gedeb region, Ethiopia.  The producers grow crops on family farms and the cherries are harvested at their optimal point of ripeness. They are then taken to the Yirgacheffe Gargari washing station, managed by Birhanu Geda, who supervises the entire process so that quality standards are maintained.  This coffee has been processed by the natural method, which means that the seeds are dried inside the cherry in raised beds for between 19 and 25 days.  The long drying period causes the sugars to transfer from the pulp to the seed. This translates into a very sweet cup with rich fruity notes, balanced and full-bodied.
    This lot of natural Ethiopia coffee is unique because it comes from a group of farmers who grow a variety known locally as “Kurume,” a super-small bean in comparison to the beans of other varieties. The small size of the bean makes it denser and concentrates the aromas.
     This washing station is a local center where many small farmers bring their cherries to be separated by lots and processed. Most of these farmers grow the specialty Ethiopia coffee variety Arabica 74110.
     This may be the fruitiest of our Ethiopian offerings this year, bursting with a wonderful floral aroma and loads of jammy sweetness in the cup.  If you are a fan of the "fruit bomb" Ethiopians this one is not to be missed!

We ship freshly roasted coffee Monday through Friday via UPS ground. Most orders placed before 2pm EST will ship same day.

Delayed, Lost or Stolen Packages 

We will do our best to help troubleshoot with you, but we
cannot control what happens when your package leaves the roasting
facility. Once the package has been picked up, it is out of our hands. 

Holidays, severe weather, carrier staff shortage and high package volumes are causing delays in package transit time. 

As a small business, we are unable to absorb the costs of
packages being lost in transit. We cannot refund orders that are marked
as delivered with a tracking number, even if a customer is stating they
haven’t received the package.

In order to balance getting your coffee out to
you as quickly as possible with freshness of roast we ship all coffee as
ordered within one week of the roast date. We typically roast
Wednesdays and Fridays.

In our experience most coffees
taste best after a few days rest, and high quality coffees stay at peak
flavor up to six weeks post roast.
