We are beyond excited to present the first fresh crop Ethiopian coffee of the season. We are even more excited to welcome back a long time favorite of so many, Ethiopia Ardi Sidamo Natural. A little about this coffee: The Guji Zone in southern Ethiopia is steeped in rich history, having been settled by the Oromia people over 500 years ago, a community that continues to inhabit the region to this day. The name of this coffee is inspired by a truly remarkable discovery: the oldest hominid skeleton ever found, Ardipithecus Ramidus. Unearthed in Ethiopia’s Great Rift Valley, which is located in the Guji Zone, this 4.4 million-year-old fossil was affectionately named Ardi. Coffee holds an inseparable connection to the people living in the Guji Zone, and it was only fitting that this particular coffee was named after such a significant discovery. This specific lot of coffee, harvested in early 2024 in the city of Odo Shakiso, Guji, comes from the producer Biru Bekele, carrying forward the deep cultural heritage of the region.
This coffee is bursting with ripe red fruit flavors of strawberries and cherries. It's a vibrant juicy cup and leaves little wonder why this coffee is the one that opens so many people's eyes to how different a cup of coffee can taste!
We ship freshly roasted coffee Monday through Friday via UPS ground. Most orders placed before 2pm EST will ship same day.
Delayed, Lost or Stolen Packages
We will do our best to help troubleshoot with you, but we
cannot control what happens when your package leaves the roasting
facility. Once the package has been picked up, it is out of our hands.
Holidays, severe weather, carrier staff shortage and high package volumes are causing delays in package transit time.
As a small business, we are unable to absorb the costs of
packages being lost in transit. We cannot refund orders that are marked
as delivered with a tracking number, even if a customer is stating they
haven’t received the package.
For UPS claims, please email us at georgio@georgioscoffee.com
When checking out, *Please make sure your address is correct!*
In order to balance getting your coffee out to
you as quickly as possible with freshness of roast we ship all coffee as
ordered within one week of the roast date. We typically roast
Wednesdays and Fridays.
In our experience most coffees
taste best after a few days rest, and high quality coffees stay at peak
flavor up to six weeks post roast.
