____
This beautiful coffee comes to us from Loja Ecuador.  Finca Virgen de las Nubes is located in Cangonamá, Loja, Ecuador and is run by Angel Benigno Capa Chamba. The farm sits at an elevation of approximately 2,050 m.a.s.l and consists of 19 hectares in total. Of those 19 hectares, only 1 hectare is planted in coffee, a mix of Caturra and Typica. The other 18 hectares are a mix of fruit trees, a garden for personal consumption and uncultivated land. The coffee is fermented for between 32-33 hours and then upon washing, dried for between 8-10 days, depending on the weather. Angel, now 50 years old, has been producing coffee since he was 13. There is now plenty of washed coffee to be found in Southern Ecuador, but around 20 years ago, it was all processed in "bola" or a really poorly processed natural and sold for low prices in the local market (there is still some of this around). However, with a push from the local municipality several years ago, technical assistance was offered to teach producers better practices in post-harvest, i.e. - washed coffees. Angel took the advice and has since been washing his coffees and year after year, slowly improving quality.  With that, Angel is no stranger to quality, placing 10th place in a regional competition a few years back called Mejor de Loja.  We find this to be a very approachable coffee with great balance.  It presents those smooth caramel, butterscotch and chocolate notes with just a hint of citric acidity to perk things up.

We ship freshly roasted coffee Monday through Friday via UPS ground. Most orders placed before 2pm EST will ship same day.

Delayed, Lost or Stolen Packages

We will do our best to help troubleshoot with you, but we
cannot control what happens when your package leaves the roasting
facility. Once the package has been picked up, it is out of our hands.

Holidays, severe weather, carrier staff shortage and high package volumes are causing delays in package transit time.

As a small business, we are unable to absorb the costs of
packages being lost in transit. We cannot refund orders that are marked
as delivered with a tracking number, even if a customer is stating they
haven’t received the package.

For UPS claims, please email us at georgio@georgioscoffee.com

When checking out, *Please make sure your address is correct!*

In order to balance getting your coffee out to
you as quickly as possible with freshness of roast we ship all coffee as
ordered within one week of the roast date. We typically roast
Wednesdays and Fridays.

In our experience most coffees
taste best after a few days rest, and high quality coffees stay at peak
flavor up to six weeks post roast.
