Known for its rich volcanic soil, cool climate, and abundant rainfall, this area consistently yields coffees of striking brightness and depth. The Kiamugumo Factory, part of the New Ngariama Farmers’ Cooperative Society, serves hundreds of smallholder farmers, many tending just a few hundred trees on plots passed down through generations.\u003cbr\u003e     The “AB” grade denotes bean size slightly smaller than AA, yet no less expressive in the cup. Here, farmers handpick ripe cherries that are then sorted, fermented, washed, and dried slowly on raised beds. This process amplifies the lively acidity and juicy clarity that Kenyan coffees are celebrated for.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003e     What sets Kiamugumo apart is the collective commitment of the cooperative. Beyond processing, the factory provides training, quality support, and transparency, while also investing in local infrastructure.
