This single origin is made up of a range of smallholder farmers. Unlike in many other Central American countries, Mexico is full of very small coffee producers - some producing as little as 5-10 kg per year. The limited quantities do not mean quality is low, often quite the opposite is true. What makes Oaxaca an especially unique area of Mexico for coffee is that the internal market is very willing to buy Oaxacan coffees. Our importer and their partners on the ground in Mexico have to work hard and compete to be able to source these tiny lots, then spend considerable time and effort to put together lots of similar screen size, moisture and water activity. For all the time and effort it takes to secure these lots, it is always worth the pay off - these coffees are exciting and showcase a side of Mexican coffee often unexplored and underappreciated. This year's lot highlights the creamy chocolate notes we've come to love from this coffee along with a toffee sweetness and subtle green apple malic acidity. Teojomulco is a wonderfully balanced coffee and one we would call a "daily driver," as most would be happy to wake up drinking this coffee day after day.
We ship freshly roasted coffee Monday through Friday via UPS ground. Most orders placed before 2pm EST will ship same day.
Delayed, Lost or Stolen Packages
We will do our best to help troubleshoot with you, but we
cannot control what happens when your package leaves the roasting
facility. Once the package has been picked up, it is out of our hands.
Holidays, severe weather, carrier staff shortage and high package volumes are causing delays in package transit time.
As a small business, we are unable to absorb the costs of
packages being lost in transit. We cannot refund orders that are marked
as delivered with a tracking number, even if a customer is stating they
haven’t received the package.

When checking out, *Please make sure your address is correct!*
In order to balance getting your coffee out to
you as quickly as possible with freshness of roast we ship all coffee as
ordered within one week of the roast date. We typically roast
Wednesdays and Fridays.
In our experience most coffees
taste best after a few days rest, and high quality coffees stay at peak
flavor up to six weeks post roast.
