We are excited to offer a new tasting experience at our Stony Brook location this March. We will be releasing an extremely limited amount of coffee from world renown producer Edwin Noreña. Edwin Noreña is one of Colombia’s true processing obsessives. Known among friends as “El Alquimista” (the alchemist), Edwin has dialed in a wide repertoire of fermentation profiles, often using multiple fermentations in sequence to achieve a desired expression. The coffees offered will be a lychee co-ferment, a watermelon co-ferment, and a hops co-fermented Geisha. These coffees and this event will be for those with a very open mind and an eye towards the cutting edge of coffee flavor exploration. If you are a fan of traditional tasting coffees and not looking to break out of that box, we'd recommend skipping this one.
Each session will be approximately 30-40 minutes where Kayla, our store manager in Stony Brook, will brew three guests a cup of each coffee while offering background and insight into the coffee and processing techniques that make it so unique. She will also answer questions as you evaluate and compare the different brews. It will be a very focused and intimate event that will leave you with a new level of understanding and hopefully appreciation for this new frontier in coffee processing.
**This will be held at our Stony Brook location the address is: 131 Main St, Stony Brook NY, 11790. Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can begin on time.**
We ship freshly roasted coffee Monday through Friday via UPS ground. Most orders placed before 2pm EST will ship same day.
Delayed, Lost or Stolen Packages
We will do our best to help troubleshoot with you, but we
cannot control what happens when your package leaves the roasting
facility. Once the package has been picked up, it is out of our hands.
Holidays, severe weather, carrier staff shortage and high package volumes are causing delays in package transit time.
As a small business, we are unable to absorb the costs of
packages being lost in transit. We cannot refund orders that are marked
as delivered with a tracking number, even if a customer is stating they
haven’t received the package.
For UPS claims, please email us at georgio@georgioscoffee.com
When checking out, *Please make sure your address is correct!*
In order to balance getting your coffee out to
you as quickly as possible with freshness of roast we ship all coffee as
ordered within one week of the roast date. We typically roast
Wednesdays and Fridays.
In our experience most coffees
taste best after a few days rest, and high quality coffees stay at peak
flavor up to six weeks post roast.
